The County Directorate for Culture Building was erected around 1900 and had a commercial purpose for most of its existence

In 1854, the city administration of Zalău assigned 1.200.000 crowns for the construction of public buildings, among which a new barracks

The bronze statue of Wesselényi Miklós is seated on a pedestal covered in white marble plaques 

Created after 1854, when the city administration allotted the amount of 12 646 K 75 FIL to build it

Situated in the center of the city, it was built in 1930 – 1932 with support from the parishioners and from the State.

The building of this church started at the beginning of 1878, and the consecration took place in 1884.

Erected in 1712 on the ruins of an older church, it suffered several extension and renovation works

The building, hosting today the History Section "Vasile Lucăcel" of the County Museum of History and Art is a monument, part of the historical center of Zalău
