Road of the Cross

15:00-17:00 – “Road of the Cross” Easter street show

  • the show presents the 14 stations that Jesus made until His crucifixion. The event will take place on the following route: starting from the public parking behind the City Hall of Zalău – 22 Decembrie 1989 Street – Mihai Viteazu Boulevard until its intersection with 9 Mai Street – Clock area, with the last stop on the 1 Decembrie 1989 Square (Marble Plateau). The march is a dramatization of the Road of the Cross, made by a group of believers of various faiths, with an attempt to demonstrate that there are no boundaries in Christianity. The volunteering actors, who interpret Jesus Christ, Roman soldiers, Pontius Pilate, Barabas, Mary – mother or Jesus, the myrrh bearers, and other characters, will wear period costumes.

The event of the “Viață și Culoare” Association is on its XIIth edition, and is organized annually, around Easter, in big cities from Romania.
